Die cuts + Procreate + Cricut
I finally got my cricut machine and can’t stop using it to create die cuts and stickers. I used procreate to draw all my die cuts and I’m still getting used to it. All these die cuts are available in my Etsy shop.

It feels awesome to get back to mixed media collaging. Please watch the video on how I did it. This is my first try to do a how to video and I hope you like it.
I didn’t know that gelli printing can be so much fun until I tried it. The hardest part for me was the image transfer from a magazine. I made a lot of errors. I watched a video about it and the techniques was to use a small amount of acrylic paint and do not press the image too long on the gelli plate. Tried it and it worked. I will be doing a lot more gelli printing and will post them soon.
New design added on my shop. Please check out https://society6.com/joannajeannecreation .
I am not sure if I overdid it with the spatters. For some reason I am obsessed adding spatters to my paintings 😄. I used micron pen for the outline and shading.
This is my first try using canvas to paint my whimsical face using watercolors and gelatos. I usually paint my faces on watercolor and mixed media papers because it’s much easier to blend the colors. It’s not perfect but I like how this turned out.
Don’t think just paint and doodle. There’s no planning on how it will look like at the end. Just let go and start applying colors and see where it leads you. That’s the beauty of an intuitive painting, no perfection just calmness.
This piece took me three days to do. I’m still learning to paint folk art faces and loving it. I like how meow meow the cat turned out.
