Halloween Trading Cards

Happy Halloween everyone! These are so much fun to create. I joined the group willowing and friends on Facebook and they do ATC swap every month. This is my third swap and I am enjoying it because I get to see the works of other crafters and of course checking the mailbox becomes more fun. 😃 If you want to join in the fun check out willowing and friends.

Handmade Encouragement Card

Hello friends! I am very satisfied with this project. The embellishments that I used fits together. Since I started creating mixed media cards I am so obsess with layered cards. I am still new to mixed media art but I think I am getting better at it. On my next project I am thinking of creating a card or tag that has a bright color background. I’ve been doing a lot of dark color background so I guess it’s time to try to make it a little brighter… 🙂 I hope you like this project and thank you for stopping by.

You Inspire Me Card + Distress Ink

img_4116

Greetings! I like how this card turned out. Honestly it took me at least two days to finish this because I was having problems making up my mind on what embellishments to incorporate. I wanted to put mix flowers but it would look too busy. So I decided to just use leaves stencil and applied texture paste and colored it green using distress inks. The butterfly that I included in this card is from “The Paper Studio Everyday Kraft” scrapbook paper which is awesome. I also added leaves embellishment and applied distress ink to get that dry leaf effect. This card will be up for sale in my Etsy store which will open very soon. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you like this card.

Butterfly Card Layering + Texture Paste

fullsizerender-copy

Happy Friday everyone! Today I would like to share with you a birthday card that I made for a friend. I like creating handmade cards for love ones because it is more meaningful to the recipient and more attractive than the ones you buy at the store. I also like receiving handmade cards because of so much love that they put into it. Every handmade cards are a work of art. For this card I applied textured paste by using Bricked Stencil from Tim Holtz collection. I used my silhouette portrait to cut my butterfly and applied distress ink. To make the card more interesting I added layers of torn scrapbook papers and burlap ribbon. I also added some flower embellishments and decided not to color the flowers and leave it as is. For every project I’ve done, I always love to add a splatter of colors as my final touch. It gives it more like a grungy look. Thank you for looking. 🙂
